I have been trying to branch out from just the DnD actual plays. It isn't hard to find different actual plays that use different systems. However, it is difficult to find incredibly popular actual plays set in long running campaign worlds. Big Campaign Stories is one of these actual plays.
Big Campaign Stories is a Pathfinder 1st edition actual play. It is set in a fairly modern campaign world, but with magic and monsters existing. This campaign is the 8th campaign set in the same homebrew world, which has been growing and changing throughout each campaign.
The story is of Bold Requisitions: a repo company and their antics as they try to acquire items that have fallen into the wrong hands. The business is run by Lucious Estabold, and with his crew, Oswald, Fores, and D0$h, they take on odd monsters, crazed cyborgs, and notorious gangs.
Though I am not very well versed in Pathfinder, the story is incredibly easy to follow. However, it is odd to hear when a character gets a 32 for a skill check(never hear a lot of that it other games or editions). The story is immersive, most likely due to the years that the campaigns have been running. It has been a fabulous listen and I highly recommend it!
So, grab a bacon pie and some eggs from the "special chickens" and give Big Campaign Stories a listen! You can find them on Twitter at @bigcampaignpod and also on your podcast player of choice.
