The Fate of the Monsters is in the Dice: Two Monsters Rolling Dice

There are many different types of TTRPG systems out there, more than just Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons. One such system is the Fate Core System by Evil Hat Productions. I really had absolutely no idea or had even heard of the system until I was approached by Two Monsters Rolling Dice Podcast for a review. (I still don't know that much about the system, but the story is a different matter altogether)

The story told by Two Monsters Rolling Dice (there are actually 5 Monsters!) is that of the Uncanny Valley. The story is of a fairly newly settled island and the goings on that happen there. It has a tremendous Wild West feel, but with dinosaurs and monsters. The story goes that a Teller of the Law (think Matt Dillon with a Bible) and an Elven tracking expert are hired to go to this island and apprehend a brothel Madame for a crime committed on the mainland. They meet up with one of the Teller's friends from the war, a down on his luck bounty hunter, who helps them track down the Madame

The voices by the GM and the characters in the story are exemplary! It's hard to think that some of the NPCs are voiced by the same person. The podcast is definitely story driven, as much of the dice rolling is minimal. The original soundtrack (composed and performed by the GM and one of the players) is fabulous! It has definite Wild West vibes and reminds me of the music from WildA.R.M.S. You will be whistling along to the theme song.
